Posting Content on this website
So after reviewing what I was able to about the copyright laws of my jurisdiction, I have come to the conclusion that as long as we comply with the "Fair Use" Doctrine we are capable of using that content. You can review the Copyright office's definition of fair use Here:

So basically from what I read anything that has the "Permission to photocopy for personal purposes" would be allowed under fair use as this site is a non-profit and there is no way to buy that from GW directly. As there are volumes that GW put out during that edition that fit into that category I get from this fair use doctrine that we can post this material.

Likewise other allowable material would be using the content in a different form or format would appear to be allowed. For instance the concept of making magic cards for the various lore's of magic that were produced appear to be allowed. Incidentally I recall that GW used to disseminate magic cards back during the 6th with a permission stamp on them.

This is also a concept that when in doubt I would endorse re-creating the material and create your own spin on things, so making your own magic cards would be allowable in this concept. As some of the material will hopefully be changed by the community, hopefully we can produce something more official than just a printout of a thread for us in the community.

Photocopying the contents of an army book would not be considered fair use. Not only is that copyright infringement, but foolish as most army books go for dirt cheap. Likewise for the BRB as well as the Chronicles/Annuals/Compendium. I am going to post a reputable dealer in OOP books as I know one who sells online White Dwarf and other books. Likewise E-Bay is your friend on this front.

As we continue down this road with this website we will know what will or will not abide by fair use. I will try to keep everyone abreast as to what will or will not be allowed. As owner I do reserve the right to not publish anything that I feel is treading too close to the line. With that in mind what is transferred by one party to the next outside of this website is not my concern. We do have a PM system for trading email addresses if necessary. And if you are talking using PM's and close enough to each other, play a game and post it on our battle reports.
