In my endless search for More Warhammer Content I stumbled on WoffBoot and oh me oh my, this speaks to my soul.
A gaming group separated by inconvenient geography, meeting up for a round robin when they can, figuring out the ways and means of Skype play when they can't. The battles themselves often look a bit shonky (some of the painting is very hit and miss, and proxyhammer will have that effect) but the writeups evidence a whale of a time is being had.
I'm especially taken with their narrative campaigns. The Wizard's Cup is a lovely spin on something that would have been very dry as a "pure game" activity of finding out which lore is best lore, and The Trials and Travails of Phlothos is the sort of thing I'm trying to achieve with Lord Ruthven's ongoing tale, except they actually had the courage to write it up and make it concrete.
It helps that they vindicate my deeply held belief that eighth edition was best played small, too.
