Hello Everyone
brass
Larry, from New Orleans, Louisiana. I started with 3rd Edition way back when and kept up until 6th, when I finally gave it up. With the renewed interest in the older editions of WFB I might give it another try.

Nils from Sweden here, I'm the biggest 6th edition fan I know. I'm really glad I found this site, hopefully it will grow a lot.

I've dabbled in nearly every army from the 6th edition era, but my favorites were VC and Dwarves. Couldn't really handle the power creep in 7th edition, got so annoyed in fact that I kept playing 6th casually with friends for years.

snyggejygge here on the board is also from Sweden, maybe you two are close enough for a game.

Haha, nah, I don't play anymore. I only registered here because I like to talk and read about stuff few other people care about anymore. I found this place through the 6th ed thread on warseer were you made such a thorough rebuttal of the old "cavalry was op in 6th" theory. I love discussing game mechanics from the old days and that's what I hope to do here Smile

lol I didn't realize I was quite the legend on there. At any rate, welcome to the board.

About once every year I get this intense warhammer nostalgia, which usually causes me to break out all the old army books and sweep the internet for interesting stuff. So I was quite surprised when I found a very recent thread on warseer where someone was asking what was good in 6th edtion. It was an awesome read and in it I found the link to come here ^^

Just Tony
Yeah, you'll find that as new systems come in
(Or new games from the ground up in AOS' case) the people who are dissatisfied with the current direction will fall back to older stuff. Granted, it may only be a fration of people, but I believe there are enough numbers to build a healthy gaming environment here.

Hello, I live in Utah. I have 3 boys and we play a big game of 6th edition fantasy once every 2 weeks. I have 14 armies, all at least 4k points. Im slowly working on Chaos dwarves right now. I got onto this site looking for some of the white dwarf/ LE stuff from fantasy 2000-2006. I played fantasy and 40k since 1993, I stopped 40k due to its complextion. My brother collects a 1500 point army of each for 2nd edition, so when we visit, we play there. I have the fantasy collection. I picked 6th due to less hero-hammer than 4th or 5th, and not as broken as 7th, and not as monster/big-stuff as 8th. AoS is fun and we play that sometimes, but it doesn't work for the rank-file and character building of fantasy. Anyways, I will be visiting a bit to see what developes.

Oh sweet, another 6th edition enthusiast! Be most welcome Smile And you have 14 armies of 4k each say whaaaat?!? Shock

What kind of white dwarf stuff are you interested in? I or someone else here might have it Smile

Noah from the US, my father is a big 6th edition fantasy fan so it rubbed off on me. I play mainly Hordes of Chaos and Lizardmen. I am the only this generation kid that i know that plays Warhammer. I have played Warhammer 40k but i like playing fantasy more.

Hi all,

first: Thanks to Just Tony and TinyLegions for linking me here from Warseer.

I've been a Fantasy player since 4th ed, but started losing interest during 8th ed (and my gaming environment pretty much disbanded). Now that Fantasy is no longer supported I see no reason not to go back to my preferred era of the game! (though opponents are still lacking)

I mostly have Wood Elves and Orcs and Goblins, but am slowly pulling together enough models to make my other random bits and bobs into fieldable armies.

I also play lot of specialist games- mostly Warmaster, Epic and BFG, but I've also tried my hand at Mordheim, Blood Bowl, Man O War and many of those other games.

I currently lurk in Adelaide, Australia.

No problem, and as fast as we've gotten new recruits, we should have another Aussie soon for you.

Hey guys, Emil here from Sweden. I'm joining up to get some help with and share my enthusiasm for the older WFB editions, specifically 5th. I've been out of the Warhammer loop for about a year and a half now but I am playing Mordheim quite frequently.

Just Tony
Not sure how this didn't get posted, but scroll up and you'll see at least two members on this board are also from Sweden. I'd check out the subforum for finding players in your area as well.

Yeah there are a few guys on the forum who have introduced themselves that are from Sweden. snyggejygge and nurglesmom to name the ones that stated that they were denizens of the lands of hot blonds and cold winters on this thread alone. Please do post in the opponent finder forum, or send them a PM if you feel inclined.

On a similar topic, assuming that you are all from different parts of Sweden, I encourage to setup a game day for all three of you to show up and play some games together. I would encourage battle reports if you can of course.
