Re: The Madness of Myster E - Knights and Knight-Like Entities in Classichammer

The end of Project Enormity is in sight. I have, as far as I'm aware, provided for the assembled armies of the Imperium and Chaos (plastic Knights, and the Rogal Dorn as a grace note); Orks, Eldar, Tyranids, Tau, and my beloved Necrons.
I'd intended to revisit the Obelisk, having never been entirely happy with it, but then I realised something. I'd broken through the resin ceiling. I'd written up rules for a proper Forge World kit - the Supremacy battlesuit. That meant there was something else I could bestow on the ancient malice of the Necrons: a proper big and killy War Machine.
In accordance with my previous approach, the truly contrived Wardian conventions ('tek' on the end of the names) has been scrubbed and replaced with something simple, spartan and effective. If anyone can name an absolutely massive spitting beetle that starts with an S and feels like an upgrade from Spyder, I'm open for suggestions.
This thing is a bit lacklustre in close combat, but still bulldozes through infantry well enough, and it should be able to take the kneecaps off a Titan at long range. The king-size particle projectors are mostly there to strip shields at closer range and provide volume of fire against lighter vehicles.
TOMB SENTINEL: 650 points
TYPE: Walker
SIZE: War Machine
STRUCTURE POINTS: 3
ARMOUR: Front 14, Sides 14, Rear 12
CHARACTERISTICS: WS 4, BS 4, S 5, I 2, A 1
OPEN TOPPED? No
SPEED: Lumbering
WEAPONS: Two mega long-barrelled Titan killer heavy gauss cannons with co-axial long barrelled particle projectors
SPECIAL RULES: Living Metal
These vast coleopteran constructs are the largest Necron automata thus far encountered in the galaxy, matching the likes of the Imperial Baneblade or Questoris Knight for size. During the Ithakan Crusade, a single Sentinel accounted for a full deployment of Knights Errant, and is believed to have dealt the killing blow to the Warhound Titan Vigilant Son before its destruction at close quarters by Astartes elements.
And finally, here's that Obelisk revision I promised. Don't say I never give you anything.
OBELISK: 630 points
TYPE: Tank
SIZE: War Machine
STRUCTURE POINTS: 2
ARMOUR: Front 14, Sides 14, Rear 14
CHARACTERISTICS: BS 4
OPEN TOPPED? No
SPEED: Ponderous Skimmer
WEAPONS: 4 Star Pulse Generators (fixed, corners)
SPECIAL RULES: Sepulchre, Living Metal, Orbital Lander
During engagements on uncovered and active Necron tomb worlds, the Monolith constructs have occasionally been observed forming squadrons in the company of a larger vehicle. Operating at higher altitude above the battlefield, the Obelisk seems to have forsaken teleportation capacity and even small arms in favour of energy-form artillery, matching an Earthshaker cannon for impact when the supporting squadron is at full strength. The Obelisk actively leeches energy from its smaller cohorts to achieve this potential, however, and a Necron deployment forced to use them in tactical relocation will be compromised in terms of firepower. Reports that the Obelisk, in extremis, reconfigures and opens to unleash a bombardment exceeding mensuration capacity have yet to be confirmed, and circulation of these reports is considered a Magenta-class heresy.
