My wife had to run the kids to Cincinatti for doctors' appointments, which left me a slight bit of free time to slip in a game. We showed up with the following lists:
SKAVEN
Lord: Grey Seer - Warp Scroll, Warp Amulet - 290 points
Hero: Chieftan - BSB, Fear Banner, Heavy Armor - 149 points
Core: Swarms (5) - Poisoned attacks - 325 points

Special: Plague Monks (25) - Full Command, Extra Hand Weapon - 260 points
Rare: Censer Bearers (9) - 153 points
Rare: Warp Lightning Cannon - 100 points
TOTAL: 1,199 points
Spells were Skitterleap, Vermintide, Pestilent Breath, and Plague.
Not sure what kind of build he's going for, but I know the two shooting units were subbed in to replace Rag Ogres from a list he ran this weekend at Classichammer Day which he felt didn't perform adequately. He's supposed to be typing that one up himself.
WARRIORS OF CHAOS
Hero: Sorcerer (Level 2) - Power Familiar - 180 points
Core: Marauders (20) - Great Weapons, Full Command - 165 points
Core: Warriors (19) - Shields, Full Command - 315 points
Core: Warriors (20) - Shields, Full Command - 330 points
Core: Warriors (20) - Shields, Full Command - 330 points
Special: Chaos Knights (5) - Full Command - 215 points
Special: Plaguebearers (20) - Full Command - 320 points
Rare: Spawn of Chaos (2) - Mark of Slaanesh - 150 points
TOTAL: 2,005 points
Spells were Dark Hand of Death and Drain Life from the Lore of Death.
I apparently forgot to carry a 1 as I thought this list was 1,995. Now I get to alter it in the future, if I EVER run it this way again...
We had the base of the Citadel Woods as the objective, matched up sides, and I CHOSE to go second.
I took the first picture after Ashley's first turn movement phase:
From there it was basically blocking and trying to keep my Warriors from being able to bring full strength onto the objective. Ashley's exact words? "I'm working for the draw, since I can't see me winning this."
This came to a head when Plague was cast with Irresistible Force on Turn 2. We kept a running total as we both wound up using this spell to our advantage, and the final damage per unit from ONE SPELL CAST IN ONE TURN was as such:
7 Chaos Warriors
17 Clanrats
9 Chaos Warriors
14 Clanrats
10 Chaos Warriors
9 Plague Monks
12 Marauders
12 Stormvermin
Just to give you an idea of how much damage it dealt...
NONE of the Chaos units panicked from that round, but both Clanrat regiments panicked and eventually fled off the board. This bit of nastiness affected the Combat Resolution of every unit involved for the rest of the game. In the end we wound up calling it as a draw since he couldn't stop me from contesting the objective and neither of us had the strength to budge the other in the last couple rounds.
VERY brief write up of our recent Capture match...

Good grief, that's a lot of Plague! Fits with my own experience though - if you let that one off even once, it's frequently a game changer.
If you're wondering why I'm like this, give this a read.
It's not canon. It's not lore. It's fluff. It's marketing copy to sell toys. Don't take it more seriously than it deserves.

Irresistible Force meant I could do NOTHING about it that turn, but it was a bit of an issue all game, and with my one Sorcerer and his loadout I only had 4 dispel dice and no scrolls.
NEVER AGAIN.
NEVER AGAIN.
