Introductions
This is a thread for any new members to introduce themselves. Please feel free to post and say hi.
Re: Introductions
Hey everyone
I am not exactly new I have benefited from advice from folks here a little bit in the past but admittedly have not been a regular visitor. I have been someone old enough to have visited "forums" like this and find this much more appealing than facebook etc. My gaming group primarily plays 6th edition however we are also tryong oldworld as well. I am guessing since this is classichammer oldworld may not be a subject here? Also I hail from Canada although originally from the US.
Anyway hello and glad there is a place like this on the web : )

Re: Introductions
Welcome to the board in the official capacity!
While we probably won't feature MUCH TOW stuff on here, I'm personally not opposed to people using the Warhammer General Forum to discuss it. I'm a pretty easy-going guy, and I'm confident the site administrator won't have issues with it either.
If I catch wind of anyone playing 6th in Canada I'll give you a whistle. You could also try the 6th Ed. Facebook group for some opponents as well as possibly dakkadakka.com

Re: Introductions
I think I've mentioned I'm from there a time or two: https://www.classichammer.com/viewtopic ... anada#p220
Of course, given distances in North America, naming a country is next to useless and since Canada decided that apart from the Maritimes all the provinces should be multiples of Texas, even province isn't great. I can get to West Lafayette in half the time it takes to get to Thunder Bay, yet Thunder Bay is in the same province as me and I have to cross an entire state just to get to Indiana.
Re: Introductions
I figured it's a start. At the very least the possibility of finding someone increases through networking, and the poster DID mention having a group already.
Re: Introductions
Thanks guys I am in Calgary Alberta Canada. I know going online is usually often about finding folks to game with but that wasnt my big motivation to join classichammer it was more to just chat about Warhammer fantasy. I do have a core gaming group that plays 6e locally. Also although I am relatively new to WHFB I am not new to wargaming and that can be deceiving with all my newb questions at times lol. I have a youtube channel that has been going for about 12 years. Although its heavy on Warhammer fabtasy painting I also play other games and some historicals.

Re: Introductions
Welcome to the board Palmer. Love to see any bat reps that you got from your games up north of the border. As far as TOW, I don't know. I have a post and a poll out on this so feel free to view comment and most importantly vote.
